My Story

In 2005 I left Poland and established an accounting business in the UK with my future husband. To me, music and literature have always been the most beautiful kinds of art. That is why I was developing art skills day by day, even when I was living far from home.

‌My country is Poland and I am proud of it. Our culture and history are great. I can feel free only in my Polish home, in my village. On the other hand, however, I am very grateful to my second homeland – UK for everything I have learnt from this country during the last 15 years. It was there that I have become more pragmatic woman, who is not afraid to face life challenges.

‌In 2012 I gave waterbirth to my first daughter – Karina in London. This was such a fascinating experience, that I have decided to write a book about it. During pregnancy I was asking myself many questions: what kind of labour to choose and why? How to deal with labour pain? Will I be able to breastfeed my baby? Will my husband support me in this new role?
‌There were moments of hopelessness and excitement.

‌Just after birth I decided to write a guidebook for the first-time mums and first-time dads. I was making lots of notes during sleepless nights, which later have been included in this guidebook.

‌ It is written originally in Polish. English version was prepared by a very good translation agency. Are you looking for 100 tips for moms and dads to be? If yes, I am giving you my helping hand in this journey 🙂
